Who am I?
Why should you vote for me?
Both important questions to consider for the upcoming municipal election.
There are many parts to each answer, so I will break it down into several posts.
We are all made up of different "qualifiers" to describe the various aspects of our lives that define us. This is called 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺. These identifiers do not make us less than or more than someone else - they are simply different pieces that make us who we are.

I have four young children.
Yes, I have my hands full.
Yes, I do cherish these moments while they last.
Yep, better me than you.
How am I going to balance being on city council and raising 4 kids?

Since I moved to Sarnia in 2012, I have met a lot of wonderful people. We have shared life together, raising children together, learning together.
I have a wonderful husband who encourages and supports me - as a team we parent and take care of the household.
I have friends and mentors who I can call on for advice and guidance.
Many things are possible when we work together as a team and support each other. We all have areas that we excel in, and other areas where we need accommodation.
One of our family's recurring lessons is to LEAD BY EXAMPLE . When we want something done, we don't yell and scream at others until we get what we want - we treat each other with respect, ask for help, be open-minded, maybe make some compromises and work together.
When elected to city council, I will be working with 7 other councillors and the mayor to make Sarnia a more inclusive and accessible community. When we have a diversity of voices represented at the table, we can make decisions that benefit the whole community. This election, it's about voting for people who are willing to listen and work together to achieve a common goal - a Sarnia where we want to live and stay in for generations to come.
